The Rule of Thirds
The rule of thirds is a technique used mainly in photography. The canvas is divided into 9 equal parts, using 2 horizontal and 2 vertical lines. Areas of interest are positioned both along the lines and at crossover points.

Hi Chris,
This composition does not really use the rule of thirds. The point of focus should be more around one of the crosses you show and this composition places the subjects within the boxes and not really crossing the lines.
The red extinguisher is also so prominent that it diverts the eye from the table and this becomes your focus, here colour dominates and overrides any other content regarding the viewers focus and this is composed on the edge of the frame.
Move the extinguisher into the frame and it becomes the focus of the image even more.
